Dear Brother,
I hope my letter finds you well. I could write you volumes about the past school year. Suffice it to say, your son has performed admirably in his position here. I could not be happier about it.
You should know that he has begun courting Miss Caroline Parker, who will be my new headmistress for the next school year. I would like to say that it might be good to plan a trip to Europe for next summertime.
However, it would not surprise me to find ourselves planning for an early summer wedding next year.
It seems as though Stephen and Miss Parker will likely be announcing an engagement in the fall. This is highly irregular, but as headmistress, exceptions may be made for Miss Parker.
All in all, it seems as though everyone has won, in this case.
If I do not make a trip to the shore this summer, I hope to see you this fall, or at Thanksgiving.
I remain your devoted sister,
Marjorie Wickham
