Sticky Hoisin Tuna
Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 5 minutes | Serves 4
½ cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons dried lemongrass
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ small onion, quartered and thinly sliced
8 ounces (227 g) fresh tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes
Cooking spray
3 cups cooked jasmine rice
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, lemongrass, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add the sliced onion and tuna cubes and gently toss until the fish is evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the coated tuna cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Put the air fryer basket on the baking pan and slide into Rack Position 2, select Air Fry, set temperature to 390ºF (199ºC), and set time to 5 minutes.
  5. Flip the fish halfway through the cooking time.
  6. When cooking is complete, the fish should begin to flake. Continue cooking for 1 minute, if necessary. Remove from the oven and serve over hot jasmine rice.
