Crab Cakes
with Bell Peppers
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 10 minutes | Serves 4
8 ounces (227 g) jumbo lump crab meat
1 egg, beaten
Juice of ½ lemon
¹⁄₃ cup bread crumbs
¼ cup diced green bell pepper
¼ cup diced red bell pepper
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon flour
Cooking spray

Make the crab cakes: Place all the ingredients except the flour and oil in a large bowl and stir until well incorporated.

Divide the crab mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty with your hands. Top each patty with a sprinkle of ¼ teaspoon of flour.

Arrange the crab cakes in the air fryer basket and spritz them with cooking spray.

Put the air fryer basket on the baking pan and slide into Rack Position 2, select Air Fry, set temperature to 375ºF (190ºC), and set time to 10 minutes.

Flip the crab cakes halfway through.

When cooking is complete, the cakes should be cooked through. Remove from the oven and divide the crab cakes among four plates and serve.
