Spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

In a small bowl, mix the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and onion powder.

Brush the chicken with the olive oil and rub it with the seasoning mixture.

Tie the chicken legs with butcher’s twine. Place the chicken in the basket, breast side down.

Put the air fryer basket on the baking pan and slide into Rack Position 2, select Air Fry, set the temperature to 350ºF (180ºC) and set the time to an hour.

After 30 minutes, remove from the oven. Flip the chicken over and baste it with any drippings collected in the bottom drawer of the oven. Return to the oven and continue cooking.

When cooking is complete, a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh should reach at least 165ºF (74ºC).

Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
