Mozzarella Pepperoni Pizza Bites
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 12 minutes | Serves 8
1 cup finely shredded Mozzarella cheese
½ cup chopped pepperoni
¼ cup Marinara sauce
1 (8-ounce / 227-g) can crescent roll dough
All-purpose flour, for dusting
- In a small bowl, stir together the cheese, pepperoni and Marinara sauce.
- Lay the dough on a lightly floured work surface. Separate it into 4 rectangles. Firmly pinch the perforations together and pat the dough pieces flat.
- Divide the cheese mixture evenly between the rectangles and spread it out over the dough, leaving a ¼-inch border. Roll a rectangle up tightly, starting with the short end. Pinch the edge down to seal the roll. Repeat with the remaining rolls.
- Slice the rolls into 4 or 5 even slices. Place the slices in the baking pan, leaving a few inches between each slice.
- Slide the baking pan into Rack Position 2, select Roast, set temperature to 350ºF (180ºC) and set time to 12 minutes.
- When cooking is complete, the rolls will be golden brown with crisp edges. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
