Tangy Fried Pickle Spears
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes | Serves 6
2 jars sweet and sour pickle spears, patted dry
2 medium-sized eggs
¹⁄₃ cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon shallot powder
¹⁄₃ teaspoon chili powder
¹⁄₃ cup all-purpose flour
Cooking spray
  1. Spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, beat together the eggs with milk. In another bowl, combine garlic powder, sea salt, shallot powder, chili powder and all-purpose flour until well blended.
  3. One by one, roll the pickle spears in the powder mixture, then dredge them in the egg mixture. Dip them in the powder mixture a second time for additional coating.
  4. Place the coated pickles in the basket.
  5. Put the air fryer basket on the baking pan and slide into Rack Position 2, select Air Fry, set temperature to 385ºF (196ºC), and set time to 15 minutes.
  6. Stir the pickles halfway through the cooking time.
  7. When cooking is complete, they should be golden and crispy. Transfer to a plate and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
