-
Mix together the apple, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Allow to sit for 30 minutes.
-
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the milk, butter, and egg and stir to incorporate.
-
Pour the apple mixture into the bowl of flour mixture and stir with a spatula until a dough forms.
-
Make the fritters: On a clean work surface, divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape into 1-inch balls. Flatten them into patties with your hands.
-
Line the baking pan with parchment paper and spray it with cooking spray.
-
Transfer the apple fritters onto the parchment paper, evenly spaced but not too close together. Spray the fritters with cooking spray.
-
Slide the baking pan into Rack Position 1, select Convection Bake, set temperature to 350ºF (180ºC), and set time to 7 minutes.
-
Flip the fritters halfway through the cooking time.
-
When cooking is complete, the fritters should be lightly browned.
-
Remove from the oven to a plate and serve with the confectioners’ sugar sprinkled on top, if desired.
