Traditional French Frie s
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 25 minutes | Serves 2
2 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into ½-inch sticks
2 teaspoons olive oil
Salt, to taste
¼ cup ketchup, for serving
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Put the potato sticks into the pot and blanch for 4 minutes.
  2. Rinse the potatoes under running cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Put the potato sticks in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat well.
  4. Transfer the potato sticks to the air fryer basket.
  5. Put the air fryer basket on the baking pan and slide into Rack Position 2, select Air Fry, set temperature to 400ºF (205ºC) and set time to 25 minutes.
  6. Stir the potato sticks and sprinkle with salt halfway through.
  7. When cooked, the potato sticks will be crispy and golden brown. Remove the French fries from the oven and serve with ketchup.
