Chocolate Buttermilk Cak

1 cup all-purpose flour
²⁄₃ cup granulated white sugar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
²⁄₃ cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Spritz the baking pan with cooking spray.

Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Stir to mix well.

Mix in the buttermilk, vanilla, and vegetable oil. Keep stirring until it forms a grainy and thick dough.

Scrape the chocolate batter from the bowl and transfer to the pan, level the batter in an even layer with a spatula.

Slide the baking pan into Rack Position 1, select Convection Bake, set temperature to 325ºF (163ºC) and set time to 20 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the pan from the oven. Check the doneness. Return the pan to the oven and continue cooking.
- When done, a toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Invert the cake on a cooling rack and allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing to serve.
