AMITA AND MIKE JACOBS waited in the bathroom on the second floor of the house. They had done exactly as Widow said. He had told them to go upstairs and lie in the bathtub. If Shepard fired the helicopter’s gun on the house as he had at the previous house where Jacobs had hidden out, then the bathtub would be the safest place. The house had a huge cast iron tub, probably dating back to the eighteenth century. Very solid and durable. If anything in the house could provide cover from M50 ammunition, it would be that tub. Widow had his doubts that even iron would be enough, but his plan was to draw the helicopter away and not give it a chance to shoot at the house.
