Seasoned Rice and Lentil Congee

With the addition of a few seasoning, the basic Rice and Lentil Congee is elevated to a delicious one-pot dish that may be eaten as a meal in itself.

One portion Rice and Lentil Congee (above)

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon minced spring onion

 

1 Place seasonings into each individual bowl.

2 Add a spoonful of hot congee to each bowl, stir well to blend the seasonings, then fill the bowls to the top with congee and stir to blend flavors.
