Segal and Belinda Boon of the Texas State Library and Archives and updated by Jeanette Larson, is the true bible of weeding and should be obtained and read by every staff member involved in weeding collections. The practical advice in the manual is invaluable, and the shelf-by-shelf layout was a major inspiration for the original “Weeding Tips” columns.
