Week 52: Share your knowledge
“One, who acquires knowledge and then pass it on to others, gets all his wishes fulfilled and achieves success, happiness and prosperity in his life. ”
~Atharva Veda
You've learned quite a lot – not just in the past year (has it been that long already?) but throughout your life. There is a lot that you know that others don't, and everything has been colored and filtered through your own, unique perception of the world. That point of view cannot be allowed to die with you. You need to share it with the world!
Passing on your knowledge and wisdom is probably the most far-reaching way of affecting and changing the world. In doing so, you pass on a bit of yourself to other people, which in turn becomes a part of who they are in their own arsenal of knowledge and view of the world. By sharing the things you've learned to facilitate your success, you can equip and empower others to their own greatness, the secrets of which they will share in turn creating an exponential ripple effect of success that can reach farther than you can fathom. It also has some immediate benefits to you – one of the best methods to internalize and solidify what you have learned is to share it. To do so you have to recall the information (which imprints it in your mind by itself) and organize it in a clear, cogent explanation which you can profit from yourself.
Weekly challenge:
Share what you've learned through the past year and your entire life with anyone and everyone you can – friends, family, acquaintances, or even strangers. You don't need to be a 'teacher' nor do you need a classroom to teach – simple conversation will do. Don't be surprised when bright-eyed youngsters come to you for guidance and mentorship. Give them the same as you received in your own youth. Finally, don't underestimate your capacity to touch the lives of multitudes. Give writing, public speaking and holding seminars a shot – you might be surprised at how the world will respond to your message .
THE FIRST OF MANY GREAT YEARS TO COME...
If you've stuck with the program without fail, you've definitely started to experience some positive changes in your life. You feel happier, your relationships are stronger, you’re in better health and you're making headways towards being fulfilled and financially free. Still, without a doubt, you can see places where you can improve. Some principles may not have stuck with you, or you may feel you haven't mastered some of them. No problem – just go through the whole program again or dip in and out of those sections! Do it as many times as you need to until you have mastered these fundamentals of success.
Don't let your journey of self-improvement end here, though. Those books recommended in most of the chapters – read them! Find as many other guides for transformation as you can and put them to action as well.
Finally, no matter how high you rise, never believe yourself to be perfect. Avoid using phrases like “I know”. Always be striving to better yourself, the lives of those around you and the world, and even the world will remember after you are long gone: you were here, and you made the planet a better place.
