Walk up rue de Chaillot and turn left onto rue Freycinet and Places des Etats-Unis will be across Avenue d’Iéna. Place des États-Unis is home to a number of embassies, including some of the wealthier Middle-Eastern ones, as well as, of course, the one that gives the square its name: the United States of America. This tree-lined square is about 140 metres long and 30 metres wide and is a pleasantly shady spot, popular with office workers during lunchtime.
