This is perfect for those days when you want lots of green goodness in your life. The banana and kale provide so many vitamins and minerals, while the nut butter and milk make it extra creamy. If you need a little more mellowness at breakfast time, add a little honey, but even if you don’t, the fruit means you won’t be holding your nose as you drink your veggies here!
Serves 1
handful of kale
1 banana
1/4 small cucumber, roughly chopped
handful of frozen berries
scant 1/2 cup plant-based milk
1 tablespoon nut butter
Tear the kale leaves from their stems and place them in a blender.
Add the banana to the blender with all the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Tweak It
If you don’t like banana in this or any other smoothie, just leave it out and use a whole avocado, peeled and pitted, instead, along with 1 teaspoon of honey.
