Shoulder Developers
There is a vast variety of shoulder exercises which can be done with the expander. Indeed, most movements do affect the shoulders in some way or another, even although the effect is only of a secondary nature. The deltoids, which cap the shoulders, are worked in numerous ways. Exercises where the arms are held in front of the body and pulled backwards work the posterior deltoids, at the back of the shoulders. If the arms are behind the body or in line with the shoulders and pulled forwards, the anterior deltoids are affected. Should the arms be raised sideways against resistance, then the side part of the muscle is being used. Most pressing movements such as the Back Press and Military Press are tough on the deltoids, and here are some more which will also give them a good work-out.
The lateral raises and chest pulls are basic movements depending on shoulder strength, and can also be included in bodybuilding routines.
