Do God’s Will

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

Think what Spirit dwells within thee;

Think what Father’s smiles are thine;

Think that Jesus died to win thee:

Child of heaven, canst thou repine?

Once God tells you to do something, it’s important not to give up, no matter how much resistance you come up against. When Lincoln was criticized for emancipating the slaves, he proclaimed, “Whatever shall appear to be God’s will I will do!” Lincoln stood his ground, never letting his detractors change his mind. His diligent pursuit of God’s will ultimately led to national unity and freedom. Have you given up on God’s call for your life? Make your own proclamation, and when other people tell you it won’t work, be obstinate and tell them you will do it!
