Make People Laugh

By whom [Jesus Christ] also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:2

By faith to Pisgah’s top I fly,

And there delighted stand,

To view beneath a cloudless sky,

The spacious promised land.

The Lord of all the vast domain

Has promised it to me;

The length and breadth of all the plain,

As far as faith can see.

Lincoln was known for his humor. It’s ironic that someone who experienced so much pain and grief could be so funny. “Laughter [is] the joyous, beautiful, universal evergreen of life,” he said. Lincoln was so well known for his comedic mannerisms, friends would seek him out just to hear a new story or witty quip. Being around Abraham Lincoln made people feel better. He had just the right medicine for a country in pain. Do you have fun in life? Do other people think it’s fun to be around you? Lincoln was never lonely for friends, because other people always wanted to be with him. Try poking some fun and see how many new friends you find.
