Become a Living Witness

Let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Psalm 5:11

When with his smiles my soul he designs to bless,

Nor cares nor crosses can my peace destroy,

Possessing all things if I him possess,

Enjoying all things if I him enjoy.

Lincoln left an enormous legacy. But he was humble enough to know that anybody can leave a heritage to be celebrated. “I am a living witness that any one of your children may look to come here, to the White House, as my father’s child has,” he said. Abraham Lincoln was a living testimony that anybody from any background can achieve greatness. Instead of basking in his own light, he encouraged other people to become their own living witness. Your life is a living testimony to others, especially to your friends and family.
