Week 10 Day 4

Be Impartial

We also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Romans 5:11

There is a fountain fill’d with blood.

Drawn from Immanuel’s veins,

And sinners plunged beneath that flood

Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoic’d to see

That fountain in his day;

And here may I, though vile as he,

Wash all my sins away.

Lincoln believed in being even-handed. “I don’t want to be unjustly accused of dealing illiberally or unfairly with an adversary, either in court, or in a political canvass, or anywhere else,” he said. “I would despise myself if I supposed myself ready to deal less liberally with an adversary than I was willing to be treated myself.” Lincoln lived his life by the golden rule, treating others as he would like to be treated. His unbiased approach to life gave him the respect he needed to make important decisions. The country trusted him. Are you an impartial judge of people and situations? If you can develop an unprejudiced worldview, people will come to you to make their decisions.
