Week 15 Day 3

Change the World

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Thine, wholly thine, I want to be;

The sacrifice receive:

Made, and preserved, and saved by thee,

To thee myself I give.

“I have an irrepressible desire to live till I can be assured that the world is a little better for my having lived in it,” Lincoln wrote as president. Many people give up on the possibility of changing the world. Lincoln, however, never gave up. His aim was to make the world a better place, a place with freedom and justice for all. It was that selfless goal that eventually led to his own demise. But he accomplished his desires, and even today he’s known for his indelible mark on America and the world. Have you given up on changing the world? Go ahead, be idealistic enough to believe you can make a difference.
