Morality Secures Your Future

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Luke 12:37

Arm me with jealous care,

As in thy sight to live:

And oh, thy servant, Lord, prepare,

A strict account to give.

Help me to watch and pray,

And on thyself rely;

Assured if I my trust betray,

I shall for ever die.

“The only assurance of our nation’s safety is to lay our foundation in morality and religion,” wrote President Lincoln. Lincoln often remarked about the importance of morality. And he believed that without religion and the Bible, there could be no real morality. The moral framework that held the nation together rested on the foundation of the Christian religion, in things like prayer and faith. Without these things, Lincoln knew the country would not stand. Likewise, for each individual, morality and religion play an important role. They are the things that secure your future and keep you safe from ruining your life. The only assurance of your safety is to lay your foundation in morality and religion.
