Week 40 Day 3
On Planning
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:4
Joy and gladness banish sighs,
Perfect love dispels their fears,
And for ever from their eyes,
God shall wipe away all tears.
Do you want to learn how to make better decisions? Too often we make decisions in a vacuum. Blinded by our past and surroundings, we take off in one direction without knowing where we stand. Lincoln’s decision-making strategy was simple. “If we could first know where we are and whither we are tending, we could then better judge what to do and how to do it,” he explained. Before making any decision in your life, big or small, it’s vital to know where you stand. It’s important to look at your past and understand the present before you make any decisions that affect your future. If you’re fuzzy as to how you ended up in such a mess, maybe you should do some reflecting before taking action. Otherwise, you might make the same mistake twice. If you know where you are and how you got there, you can better judge what to do.
