STITCHES & NOTES

Puff Stitch: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop, (yarn over, insert hook into same st and pull up a loop) three times, yarn over and pull through all 9 loops on hook.

Base rnd, each side: Multiple of 2 + 1 + corner sts.

Begin 2 sts to left of corner st.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, Puff Stitch in same st, ch 1, skip 1 st, *[Puff Stitch in next st, ch 1, skip 1 st] to corner st, (Puff Stitch, ch 1, Puff Stitch, ch 1, Puff Stitch) in corner st, ch 1, skip 1 st; rep from * around, join with slip st to first Puff Stitch.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each ch-1 and Puff Stitch around, placing 3 sc in each corner st, join with slip st to first sc. Fasten off.
