One plant is getting too close to the light, so one of its branches is “pinched,” letting it lean gently to the side away from the light. To pinch, find a spot about two-thirds up a branch (either from the soil or nearest node); gently squeeze and release with firm pressure until it leans over. Some growers roll the branch between the fingers while applying firm pressure. The branch may need to lean against another branch or be tied to a stick until the pinched spot hardens—24 to 48 hours.
