Chapter number ornament

Gosh, where to start as there are so many people to thank. Top of my list are my readers who do so much to let the world know about my books, with your ‘shelfies’ and posts on Facebook and Twitter. I can’t begin to express how honoured I am that you love my stories so much; at times I have been reduced to tears at your kindness. Bless you all.

My editor, the wonderful Wayne Brookes, who seems to keep everything running and always answers my endless questions – you are a star! Susan Opie, for her eye for detail at the structural edit stage and, not forgetting, press officer Chloe Davies for getting word of my book out to readers, which was such a success. I also need to thank the many other people at Pan Macmillan who got my book from the page to the shelves on time. Thank you all!

I love writing short stories, it was part of my freelance writing job long before I wrote my first novel. To the commissioning editors at the fabulous weekly magazines, I thank you for featuring my work. I mustn’t forget the radio presenters, bloggers, librarians and journalists who take time to promote my writing in so many ways.

Finally, my literary agent, Caroline Sheldon, and her lovely team. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all you’ve done for me.

Oops, I almost forgot the home team, my husband Michael and Henry the dog. It goes without saying how much I appreciate you both.

Thank you one and all!
