Strawberry Preserves

6 cups strawberries

6 cups granulated sugar

Wash, stem, and drain the strawberries well. In a large saucepan crush the berries. Add the sugar and mix well. Over medium heat bring the strawberry and sugar mixture to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes after it begins to boil, stirring often. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Seal while hot.

YIELD: 3 TO 4 PINTS
