Fried Cabbage

4 slices bacon

1 large head cabbage, coarsely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

In a large skillet on medium heat cook the bacon until it is crisp. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the drippings in the skillet. Crumble the bacon. Add the cabbage to the hot drippings in the skillet. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Sauté the cabbage over medium-high heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with the bacon to serve.
