2 (15-ounce) cans French-cut green beans, drained
1 (10¾-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper
Canned or fresh fried onion rings to taste
Preheat the oven to 350°. Drain the green beans. In a mixing bowl combine the green beans, soup, cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Pour into a 9 × 12-inch casserole or baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until bubbly. Top with onion rings.
Hint: If using fresh fried onion rings, cut onion into thin slices and fry extra crispy following the Fried Onion Ring recipe on page 184 and maybe fry a few extra for the cook.
