Rutabagas

3 to 4 rutabagas

3 to 4 cups water

¼ cup butter

Salt and pepper

Peel and dice the rutabagas into bite-size pieces. In a stockpot over medium heat place the rutabagas and cover them with the water. Add the butter and the salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Cook for 1 to 1½ hours until tender.

YIELD: 4 TO 6 SERVINGS
