1 (8 to 10-pound) fresh ham
1 cup water
Salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 375°. Place the ham on a roasting pan with the fat side down. Pour the water into the pan. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Cook the ham uncovered for 2½ to 3 hours until fully done. Slice and serve.
