Banana Pudding

6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

8 tablespoons granulated sugar

Dash of salt

2 eggs, beaten

4 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Vanilla wafer cookies

4 to 5 bananas, sliced crosswise

9 ounces whipped topping

In a medium-size saucepan combine the flour, sugar, salt, and eggs. Add the milk a little at a time and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add the vanilla. Cook this mixture on medium heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens. Cool thoroughly. Line the bottom of a casserole dish with the vanilla wafers, then the bananas. Repeat this procedure until the dish is two-thirds full. Cover with the cooled pudding. Top with the whipped topping. Place in the refrigerator to chill. Be sure to refrigerate any leftover pudding.
