This punch is always served by Billie at her Epiphany parties. It is a delightfully refreshing punch for coffee lovers.
PUNCH
6 cups strong, hot, brewed coffee
2 cups milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 quart vanilla ice cream
1 quart coffee ice cream
WHIPPED CREAM
1 quart whipping cream
5 tablespoons granulated sugar
5 tablespoons vanilla
Shaved semisweet chocolate for garnish
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
For the punch: In a large bowl, combine the coffee, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Chill thoroughly. Pour into a punch bowl, stirring gently. Scoop the ice creams into the bowl.
For the whipped cream: In a medium bowl with an electric mixer beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks form, adding the sugar and vanilla as you whip.
To serve, ladle the punch into mugs and add a dollop of whipped cream on top. Sprinkle the shaved chocolate and cinnamon or nutmeg on top.
