Magnolia Punch

This punch is a local favorite for receptions, teas, and gatherings of all kinds.

2 cups granulated sugar

2 cups water

1½ cups orange juice

¼ cup lemon juice

1 (48-ounce) can pineapple juice

3 mashed ripe bananas

3 quarts ginger ale

In a large bowl mix together the sugar, water, orange juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and bananas. Freeze into a slush. When ready to serve, pour the mixture into a punch bowl and add the ginger ale.

Hints: Garnish with an ice ring made with orange and lemon slices and mint leaves. Garnish the punch bowl tray with magnolia leaves and flowers if they are in bloom.
