Oatmeal with Pumpkin

Pumpkin is both delicious and nutritious. This is a great way to enjoy it for breakfast.

Makes 6 servings.

6 cups water

1 15-oz can pumpkin puree

11/2 cups steel-cut oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice (or dashes of ginger, nutmeg, and clove to taste)

1. Spray inside of slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to coat the bottom and sides.

2. Stir water, pumpkin puree, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and other spices together. Pour mixture into the prepared slow cooker.

3. Cook on Low for 6 hours. Stir before serving.
