Fellows, John
English, ?–1785. He left many volumes of writings, including tracts, long religious poems, catechisms, a verse history of the Bible, and theological works as well as hymns. Few facts are known about his life. He is said to have been an indigent shoemaker. A Baptist, he wrote some fifty-five hymns having to do with baptism. The fact that most of his books were printed in Birmingham suggests that he lived in that area.
