McConochie, Barbara A.
LDS. American, born 1940 in Ogden, Utah. She began piano studies at the McCune School of Music and Art at age five. At age thirteen she was called as ward organist and began teaching her first piano students. She graduated from the University of Utah and taught high school English for two years. After moving to California, she taught piano privately and directed the Oakland Temple Pageant And It Came to Pass for its premiere run of twelve performances. She enjoys choral directing and has written several compositions for chorus. From 2001–2003 she and her husband, Doug, served a two-year mission in Las Vegas, Nevada. The McConochies, who now live in Provo, Utah, are parents of nine children.
