Mohr, Joseph

Austrian, 1792–1848, born in Salzburg. His mother was a seamstress and his father a soldier. Because of his gifts, a parish priest took an interest in him and saw to his education. He sang in the Salzburg Cathedral Choir and later attended Salzburg University. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1815.
