Raile, Vilate Schofield

LDS. American, 1890–1954. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she received her education at Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, Utah State University, and Mills College in Oakland, California. She published many poems; her poem “Pioneers” is a part of the “This Is the Place” monument at the mouth of Emigration Canyon. She was a member of the Primary General Board and helped found the Primary Children’s Hospital.
