Bradbury, William Batchelder

American, 1816–1868. He left his native state of Maine to study at the Boston Academy of Music, where one of his teachers was Lowell Mason. He gave lessons in voice and piano and later obtained a position as organist at the Baptist Temple in New York, where he gave free singing classes for children. During the last decade of his life, he manufactured and sold pianos.
