Thomas, Carrie Stockdale

LDS. English-born American, 1848–1931, born in Plymouth. A woman of education and refinement, she emigrated to America in 1864 and one year later was married to Richard K. Thomas. She held leadership positions in Latter-day Saint wards in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended conventions of the National Council of Women. She was a charter member of the Utah Women’s Press Club. She and her husband were the parents of twelve children.
