Thompson, Will Lamartine

American, 1847–1909, born in East Liverpool, Ohio. Educated at Mt. Union College, Ohio, he also attended music schools in Boston, Massachusetts, and in Leipzig, Germany. He wrote secular songs, patriotic songs, and gospel songs, and he established a highly successful music publishing firm.
