Calkin, John Baptiste

English, 1827–1905. He received most of his musical training from his father. After serving as organist and choirmaster in various churches in London, he became a professor of music at Guildhall School of Music and Croydon Conservatory. He was also organist and choirmaster at St. Columba’s College in Ireland.
