Mostarda is traditionally made with candied fruit and mustard, but my Keto Lemon Mostarda is free of sugar! It tastes great with seafood sausage ( see here ).
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon coconut vinegar or red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
½ cup MCT oil
Fine sea salt and fresh ground black pepper
¼ cup Swerve confectioners’-style sweetener or equivalent amount of liquid or powdered sweetener ( see here ) (optional)
In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, mustard, vinegar, and garlic. While whisking, slowly drizzle in the oil until emulsified. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add sweetener, if desired. Store in a covered jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.
