BECCA STADTLANDER

Becca Stadtlanders aesthetic is based on an appreciation of folk art and pastoral imagery; this inspires her work and guides her style and identity as an illustrator. Using watercolor and gouache, she makes small paintings that depict a poetic visual narrative through texture, color, pattern, and intricacy. Stadtlander says, Creating a feeling on paper is the challenge I start with in every piece. Whether it be the particular season, weather, or wallpaper, every environment has an unexplainable essence all its own. I am dedicated to creating the timeless and simple images that I love.
