PAOLO TERDICH

Paolo Terdichs art is both realistic and mysterious. His painted human figures convey intimacy and psychology. Of his recent figurative work, Terdich says, I try to exalt the light and its contrast with shadow through my fascination with form and attention to detail, texture, and atmosphere. My intention is to pick out the psychology of the characters and suffuse them with sensuality. My figures are never portrayed with other individuals, to emphasize the loneliness of the contemporary human being. On his paper and canvas supports, he wishes to capture moments of lived life, analyzing existential problems, and trying to lead the observers to reflect.
