Suspects
1. Erik Lyle: Former coworker of Ingram’s, was accused by Ingram of stealing tips and money from the register. Unable to find another job, he was forced to move out of an apartment and back with his parents. Used to leave Jay mean FB messages accusing him of dating a married woman.
2. Webster Yates: Surgeon, director of the Lazarus Project. Daughter Amanda worked in an art gallery not far from the bar where Ingram worked. Ingram was also vocal in a group that spoke up against medical testing on animals, something that Webster vocally supported, and got his daughter to join a protest against her father.
3. Amanda Yates: Art gallery employee and married daughter of suspect Webster. Was implicated in a FB post by former coworker Erik Lyle as having dated Jay.
4. Robert Lake: Jay Ingram’s stepfather. Only living relative, known to have taken out a life insurance policy on Jay a few months earlier—for a substantial amount of money. Had a failing auto body business that could use the cash. Ran a youth group at a local Catholic church.
