THE WOLF, THE GOAT AND THE CABBAGES
A man wants to take a wolf, a goat and a sack of cabbages across a river in a small boat, but he cannot take them all at once because the boat is only big enough to take him and either the wolf, the goat or the cabbages. Also, he can’t leave the goat and cabbages alone, because the goat will eat the cabbages, and of course he couldn’t leave the wolf and goat together because the wolf might get hungry. How did the man get all three across the river, without losing the cabbages or the goat?
