A TALE OF TWO SWIMMING POOLS
Fabian fforbes had a swimming pool in his back garden. His neighbours were envious, but he wasn’t satisfied. He wanted to have a square pool that was double the size of the existing one, despite the fact that there were large and valuable trees at the corners, which the local council insisted he could not cut down. He did indeed end up with a square pool, double the area of his original pool, and all four trees remained in their places. How did he do it?
