PAM’S PARTY*

Pam and five of her friends were looking forward to tucking into her birthday cake, which conveniently had six sides, when who should turn up but her cousin, Louise, who of course expected to join in the party and have her share of the cake.

‘That’s all right,’ said Pam’s mother, ‘I can divide the cake like this, which makes nine slices, and Dad and I will have a slice each.’
